EXCLUSIVE: Kim Davis Recounts Secret Meeting With Pope Francis

Kentucky county clerk Kim Davis says a private meeting with Pope Francis has inspired her -– and given her a renewed sense of purpose.
“I was crying. I had tears coming out of my eyes,” Davis said in an exclusive interview with ABC News. “I'm just a nobody, so it was really humbling to think he would want to meet or know me.”
Davis, who refused to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples, says the private meeting occurred during the pope’s historic trip to the United States. After receiving a surprise phone call from a church official, the Kentucky county clerk says she traveled to Washington, D.C., where she and her husband Joe met the pope Sept. 24 at the Vatican Embassy.

“I put my hand out and he reached and he grabbed it, and I hugged him and he hugged me,” Davis said. “And he said, ‘thank you for your courage.’”
Father Benedettini from the Vatican Press office released a statement after reports emerged that Davis and the pope had met.
“The Holy See is aware of the reports of Kim Davis meeting with the Holy Father. The Vatican does not confirm the meeting, nor does it deny the meeting. There will be no further information given,“ the statement reads.
Hours later, Father Benedettini said, in another statement, “I do not deny that the meeting took place, but I will not comment on it further."
The Apostolic Nunciature in Washington, D.C. would also not elaborate, echoing the Vatican's latest statement.

Davis drew national attention -– and spent six days in jail -– after refusing a judge's order to issue marriage licenses in Rowan County, Kentucky, to same-sex and heterosexual couples, citing her religious beliefs.
Davis, back at work, is still not issuing any marriage licenses.
ABC News' Terry Moran asked Francis Sunday night if he supports individuals, including government officials, who claim religious liberty as a reason to disobey the law.
Francis responded, "I can't have in mind all the cases that can exist about conscientious objection, but, yes, I can say that conscientious objection is a right that is a part of every human right. It is a right. And if a person does not allow others to be a conscientious objector, he denies a right."
When asked if that includes government officials, Francis said, "It is a human right and if a government official is a human person, he has that right. It is a human right."
Davis says Pope Francis left her and her husband with a rosary.
“He told me before he left, he said, ‘stay strong.’ That was a great encouragement. Just knowing that the pope is on track with what we're doing, it kind of validates everything to have someone of that stature,” Davis said.
Davis says she’s committed to her cause, even if it means more time behind bars.
“I've weighed the cost and I'm prepared to do whatever it takes, even jail,” she said. “It's still the same battle, we just have some more fighting with us now.”

Hitler and "the strange light" of Fatima, 1938

....

The children of Fatima warned us that Our Lady foretold if the people did not repent, a greater war than World War I would follow, under the reign of Pope Pius XI, after a strange light in the night sky over Europe.

On January 25th 1938, during the reign of Pope Pius XI, a solar storm produced an Aurora Borealis that was seen all over Europe and North America -- as far south as California in the United States.

These lights were seen by Hitler himself and he took it as a "sign" to begin his war plans.

On February 4th 1938, less than two weeks after the aurora was seen by the world, Hitler promoted himself to military chief in Germany.

A month later he marched his army into Austria.

This was one of the early aggressions that started World War II. At that point the Fatima prophecies cease to be conditional.

ISIS wants its black flag flying over Rome, over the Vatican

Pope Francis has blamed the “bad and unjust” global capitalist system for the refugee and migrant crisis that Europe is facing right now – while warning that Islamic State jihadists may take advantage of the massive influx to slip into EU undetected.

Calling economic migrants and the flow of refugees fleeing war zones in the wider Middle East and Africa only the “tip of an iceberg” the pontiff highlighted what he believes to be the root cause of the crisis.

“The cause is a bad and unjust socioeconomic system, in everything, in the world,” Pope Francis said in an interview with the Portuguese Catholic broadcaster Radio Renascenca. “ These poor people are fleeing war, hunger, but that is the tip of the iceberg.”

“This migration phenomenon is a reality,” Francis said. “When there is an empty space, people try to fill it. If a country has no children, immigrants come in and take their place. I think of the birth-rate in Italy, Portugal and Spain.”
Asked about the challenge of welcoming the refugees and migrants who arrive on the doorsteps of the EU, the pontiff warned that while general attitudes of people regarding the acceptance of foreigners have changed for the worse, a new terrorist threat is also present that was not there before.

“Nowadays, territorial security conditions are not the same as they were in other periods [of mass migration],” he said. “The truth is that just 400 kilometers (250 miles) from Sicily there is an incredibly cruel terrorist group. So there is a danger of infiltration, this is true.”

Over the course of the year Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) engaged in spreading an online messaging campaign threatening that they would use their fighters in North Africa to invade Italy, using Libya as the “gateway to Rome.” As part of their propaganda effort, Islamist radicals posted a series of online messages showing the Vatican in flames with a black flag flying above the Holy See.

"... it is judicial tyranny for a judge to throw Kim Davis in jail ...".

....

When Kim Davis was elected county clerk for Rowan County, Kentucky, she probably never expected that acting on her deeply-held Christian beliefs at her workplace would one day land her in jail.
Tragically, that is exactly what occurred. Judge David Bunning jailed Davis after she refused to personally license same-sex "marriages.” Licensing these "marriages," Davis explained, would violate her deeply held religious belief that marriage is a union between one man and one woman.

Religious liberty is guaranteed by the Constitution, and federal law requires the government to find reasonable accommodations for people like Kim Davis who have deeply held religious beliefs. Such reasonable accommodations were utterly lacking in this case.
It was profoundly wrong for the US Supreme Court to have imposed same-sex "marriage" on the states, and it is judicial tyranny for a judge to throw Kim Davis in jail because she upheld Kentucky's law prohibiting same-sex marriage and resisted the Supreme Court's illegitimate ruling.
However, even if you disagree with Davis's actions in this case, I hope we can all agree that she does not belong in jail right now.

We must fight for our rights! If Kim Davis was a same-sex "marriage" activist, the national media would be up in arms, and petitions and protests would be happening around the clock. Now, WE must stand with Kim Davis!
Sign this petition to demand that Davis be freed immediately. Her plight could be any of ours, and ask yourself... in that case, what would you want your friends in Christ to do for you?

Sincerely,

Caroline Craddock and the entire CitizenGO team

P.S. Even if you are not from the US, you can still show solidarity with Kentucky county clerk Kim Davis for her bravery in the defense of the natural law and the natural family. You do not need to be a resident or citizen of the US to show your support for her, and, at the same time, express your frustration at the diminution of religious freedom everywhere in the so-called "free world". Kim Davis may just be the Rosa Parks of this generation - so, please, wherever you are from, sign this urgent petition, and share with your circles of like-minded friends and family.

Kentucky gay marriage row: Rally for jailed clerk Kim Davis

Hundreds have gathered in support of a county clerk in the US state of Kentucky who was jailed for refusing to issue marriage licences to gay couples.
Kim Davis, an elected official in Rowan County, has said the Supreme Court's recent ruling on the issue conflicts with her Christian beliefs.
Some of her deputies began processing the licences on Friday, providing one to a gay couple previously denied one.
However, there is disagreement over whether the licences are valid.
Normally they require the signature of the elected clerk, in this case Davis.
On Thursday, Davis denied herself the opportunity to be released from jail after refusing a judge's request to allow her clerks to issue licences. US District Judge David Bunning said she could remain in prison for up to a week.

On Saturday Davis's husband Joe addressed the crowd outside the Carter County Detention Center.
"She won't bow, I promise you," Mr Davis told the crowd, the local Courier-Journal newspaper reported.
"I'm just an old, dumb, country hillbilly, but I know God," he added.
One of the other speakers, evangelical preacher Randy Smith, addressed the crowd saying: "Father we know what your word says. That homosexuality is an abomination," according to NPR.
The US Supreme Court on Monday rejected the argument that Davis's faith prevented her from carrying out her duty.
She can only be removed from her position if the Kentucky legislature impeaches her, because she is an elected official.
Various 2016 Republican presidential hopefuls, like Mike Huckabee, Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, Senator Ted Cruz and Senator Marco Rubio, have supported Ms Davis' decision.
Mr Huckabee has said he plans to meet Davis and stage his own support rally.
Others like Carly Fiorina, Senator Lindsey Graham and Ohio Governor John Kasich have said she must comply with the law.
